Shirley Anne Field, 83, Born In 1936 – Saturday Night and Sunday Morning

Shirley Anne Field’s childhood does not paint the prettiest picture because most of it was spent in children’s homes. Soon after getting out, she attended modeling school and became a photographic model for magazines like Reveille and T**-Bits. Field subsequently squeezed her way into show business through an agent.

It didn’t take long for Field to have her breakthrough, which came from The Entertainer. Regardless, her most noteworthy role to this day has to be Doreen on Saturday Night and Sunday Morning. Field is now 83 years old, and although not officially retired, her last role was in the short film Beautiful Relics in 2014.
