Madeleine Albright, 84, Born In 1937 –  First Female United States Secretary Of State

In 1948, Madeleine Albright, initially from Czechoslovakia, moved to the U.S. with her family and ultimately achieved American citizenship in 1957. From then on, she has made history as America’s first female Secretary of State (1997-2001), serving under Bill Clinton’s presidential term. She is now 84 and is still promoting peace, democracy, and human rights.

As an author, Albright has 29 literary works on Goodreads, and Fascism: A Warning is one of her latest books, released in 2018. She was recently invited as a spokesperson by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) on a virtual talk for their third yearly SIPRI Lecture.
