Bill Bradley, 77, Born In 1943 – New York Knicks Star
Bill Bradley was at the heels of a decorated NBA career with the New York Knicks when he decided to run for New Jersey senator in 1978. His bid proved successful the first time… and the second and the third. Unfortunately, Bradley’s winning streak ended when his dreams of becoming president were squashed after losing in the 2000 Democratic Party primaries.
Not letting the loss get to him, the two-time NBA champion ventured into finance, eventually becoming an investment banker. Still, his interest in American politics didn’t waiver, as he hosts American Voices, a weekly radio show on Sirius/XM.
