James Baker, III, 91, Born In 1930 – White House Chief Of Staff
James Baker III has made his rounds in the American political scene with various government positions. After being President Ronald Reagan’s White House Chief of Staff and Secretary of the Treasury, he became the White House Chief of Staff and State Secretary of George H. W. Bush.
Baker then used his expertise as the chief legal adviser of George W. Bush when he ran for the 2000 presidential elections. He oversaw the Florida recount, which was shown in the 2008 movie called Recount, retelling the events that ensued after the controversial election. British star Tom Wilkinson embodied the now 91-year-old political figure in the film.
