Karen Grassle, 79 , Born In 1942 – Little House on the Prairie

Karen Grassle has been in the industry for five decades now. She gained fame for her role as the head matriarch, Caroline Ingalls, in the classic American Western Drama, Little House On The Prairie. While filming the pilot for Little House, she had a minor role in another Western series Gunsmoke.

Grassle also landed roles in feature films such as the 1981 comedy Harry’s War, and in 1994 she would have a role in the Kevin Costner film Wyatt Earp. This film would be her last until 2012 when she played the character Aunt Dorothy in the films Tales of Everyday Magic and My Greatest Teacher.
