Charles Ryan O’Neal set out to pursue a career as a boxer but Hollywood beckoned. He landed his breakthrough role in the ’60s ABC soap Peyton Place. O’Neal went on to star in classics like Love Story (1970), and in February 2021, alongside his co-star Ali MacGraw, he received a Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
He had credits in other productions including Unity, Malibu’s Most Wanted, and Bones. O’Neal married twice and he has four children; two with his first wife, the late Joanna Moore, one with his second wife Leigh Taylor-Young, and one from his relationship with the late Farrah Fawcett.
