Ruth Buzzi, 85, Born In 1936 – “Sesame Street”

Ruth Ann Buzzi rose to fame after appearing in the comedy-variety “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In.” She even received five Emmys and won a Golden Globe for it. Her career took off after attending the Pasadena Playhouse, where she studied acting and dancing. She had success on other TV shows like “The Lost Saucer” and the animated series “Pound Puppies.”

Buzzi is equally known for her stint on “Sesame Street” as Ruthie and features in commercials promoting brands like Clorox 2. and Ban roll-on deodorant.
