Jerry Mathers, 71, Born in 1948 – Leave It to Beaver
When Jerry Mathers’s parents signed him up to appear in an advertisement at the age of two, they probably didn’t think he’d be a success in showbiz someday. He became a child actor at the age of six. However, he didn’t gain much recognition until he starred as Theodore “Beaver” Cleaver in Leave It to Beaver in 1957.
It was his most well-praised role—one that he reprised later in 1983 for The New Leave It to Beaver. In 2008, Mathers made his last film and television appearances on Will To Power and Mother Goose Parade, respectively. If you want to keep up with his life, you can follow his blog.
