Barbara Knox, 87, Born In 1933 – Coronation Street

At 87, English actress Barbara Knox still plays Rita in the show Coronation Street. Since 1964, fans have come to love her character, which owns the shop The Kabin. It remains unknown if she has plans on leaving the beloved series anytime soon, but in September 2020, she reflected on her journey with the program in celebration of its 60th anniversary.

Knox pointed out that Coronation Street, commonly called Corrie, has made it hard to turn her back on the show. The legend has also inspired other stars to reach for their dreams of becoming an actor, including her co-star Sally Carman, who admitted being starstruck upon meeting the octogenarian.
