Engelbert Humperdinck, 85, Born In 1936 – Release Me
Pop singer Engelbert Humperdinck is the man behind hit singles Release Me and The Last Waltz. Both of these songs were on top of the 1967 U.K. music charts, with each selling over a million copies. In total, the English crooner can boast about having more than 140 million record sales globally.
The BBC reported the death of Humperdinck’s significant other, Patricia, in February 2020. He released a statement on Facebook about how heartbroken he is over losing his beloved wife, who he married in 1964 after their first encounter at a Leicester nightclub.
