Fran Tarkenton, 81 , Born In 1940 – Minnesota Vikings Star

Fran Tarkenton retired from football at age 38 in the late ‘70s after 18 seasons as an NFL quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Giants. However, he didn’t retire from working altogether. He spent the decades that followed launching business after business.

At 80 years old, the Pro Football Hall of Famer doesn’t seem to have plans of leaving the workforce just yet as he manages five Tarkenton Companies. Among his current ventures is Tankerton Financial, a company that focuses on retirement planning through safe investing vehicles.
