Bobby Orr, 73 , Born In 1948 – Boston Bruins Defenseman
Bobby Orr is among ice hockey’s greatest could-have-beens. Suffering multiple injuries and getting more than a dozen surgeries on his knees, the Boston Bruins defenseman retired from the sport in 1979 when he was just in his early 30s. His pains, sadly, hounded him outside the rink with doctors suggesting more operations.
These days, the 72-year-old is still active in hockey, this time as an agent with Orr Hockey Group. Using his experience on the ice, the three-time MVP awardee seeks to help today’s generation of players reach their full potential.
