Ted Nugent, 73, Born In 1948 – The Amboy Dukes
The man everybody knows as “The Nuge” is perhaps best known for his work as an activist nowadays. A conservative hero, he’s a vocal advocate of hunting, and he supports gun ownership rights. He’s also a board member of the National Rifle Association and one of the most famous opposers of gun control policies.
Before becoming involved in shaping public opinion, though, Ted Nugent made a name for himself by working as a musician. Still performing live today, he’s regarded as an American guitar virtuoso. He started playing professionally in the ’60s as a band member of the psychedelic rock group “The Amboy Dukes.”
