Remember These Golden Age Celebrities? They’re Still Alive & Kicking Hard

Ami Ciccone Dec 14, 2022

Loni Anderson, 75, Born In 1946 – WKRP In Cincinnati

Loni Anderson’s long separation battle with the late Burt Reynolds sometimes overshadows her work in TV shows like WKRP In Cincinnati and Nurses. In fact, their clashes over finances and child support lasted years, beginning in the ‘90s and ending in 2015.

But all’s well that ends well as Anderson, and her ex-husband made peace with each other before the Smokey and the Bandit actor passed away at 82. She is currently married to The Brothers Four band member Bob Flick and still works on TV, starring in My Sister Is So Gay.

Barbara Walters, 91, Born In 1929 – Today

She was born in 1929, in Massachusetts, which means that Barbara Walters is 91 years old by now. Through all these years, she’s influenced thousands of people with her journalism work. After all, she’d been at it since the early ‘50s! Even though Walters is enjoying her retirement now, it doesn’t mean that she’s forgotten.

It’s safe to say that TV journalism would be looking a lot different today had it not been for Walters, the first woman co-anchor of a network evening news show. She’s participated in programs like ABC Evening News, The View, 20/20, and most importantly, Today. She’s also earned herself a $170-million fortune while doing so.

Raquel Welch, 80, Born In 1940 – One Million Years B.C

With her shapely figure and gorgeous face, Raquel Welch rose to become one of Hollywood’s major feminine symbols back in the ‘60s. A lot has changed since she’s starred in films like One Million Years B.C. and 100 Rifles, but one thing remains the same: her enviable mane.

And Welch, now 80, is determined to impart the gift with her new line of hairpieces done in collaboration with Hair U Wear. She’s particularly focused on helping women who have lost their locks due to terminal illness, and lift their morale.
