When Barbi Benton enrolled at the University of California – Los Angeles (UCLA), being a veterinarian was her goal, but life—or should we say, Hugh Hefner—had different plans for her. After Hefner discovered her and began a relationship with her in 1969, Benton was thrust into the spotlight, opening doors for her to be cast in recurring roles for shows like The Love Boat and Hee Haw.

However, Benton turned her back on fame in the ‘80s. The reason? It can’t be more wholesome than focusing on raising her two children with her husband, George Gradow. She still lives a private life but granted an interview after Hefner’s 2017 death.
