Jane Birkin , 74 , Born in 1946 – Je T’Aime…Moi Non Plus

Although born and raised in England, Jane Birkin’s name is well-known among the French thanks to her years-long romantic and musical partnership with Serge Gainsbourg beginning in the ‘60s. He wasn’t the only one inspired by Birkin, though. Jean-Louis Dumas, former chairman of the designer label Hermès, had her in mind when he designed the Birkin bag in the ‘80s, which remains coveted among fashionistas.

Beyond being a muse, the Death on the Nile star is also an accomplished actress in her own right, having starred in over 90 productions throughout her five-decade career. Her latest film is the 2016 short film, La femme et le TGV.
