Robert Redford, 84, Born In 1936 – The Sting
Robert Redford has been in the game long enough to charm generations of movie-goers as a leading man from 1967’s Barefoot in the Park to 2017’s Our Souls at Night. He’s more than just his good looks, though. The Academy Award for Lifetime Achievement recipient has shown that he has a good heart, having championed pro-environment causes since the ‘70s.
His activism continues today as he produces documentaries such as Public Trust that uncover social inequalities in the US. Redford might be taking a break from work, though, as he mourns his son, James, who died in October 2020 of liver cancer.
