Rhonda Fleming, 96,  Born In 1923 – Adventure Island

Marilyn Louis’s appearance was so striking as a teenager, with her fair complexion and luscious red hair. So much that the renowned talent manager Henry Wilson offered her a seven-year contract while crossing the road. Talk about being lucky! Shortly after, Louis adopted the stage name, Rhonda Fleming.

The peak of her career came after she starred on Adventure Island in 1947. After being in the acting profession for nearly five decades, Fleming retired with her role as Hannah in Waiting for the Wind in 1990. Even though it’s been 30 years, her fans might find comfort in knowing that she is still alive and well at the age of 96.
