No One to Rescue the Trapped Calf
The calf in our story was wandering through the Urulanthanni jungle and reached a river crossing; that’s when the older elephants sensed something wasn’t right and stopped.
Unfortunately, the poor calf lost its balance and slid into a deep ditch by the riverbank, ending up trapped. The herd moved towards the distressed young one’s cries but realized the space was too small to fit any of the giant creatures, so none could attempt to rescue the calf; what could they do?
