Painting The City White
After half-past eight in the morning, Levi leaped into his cruiser to follow his gut. Scientists don’t call the stomach the “second brain” for nothing. It actually has it’s own nervous system with an extensive neural network of a hundred million neurons lining the digestive tract. The spinal cord has less neurons than that, explaining why the gut has phenomenal processing power.
Levi had already downed a steaming cup of hot coffee too, so he was all set for the day. The snow made the streets so white that it became easy to spot the stark black patch in the distance while he was driving.
