This might look like an incredible motorbike stunt, but this isn’t Supercross. No, this guy isn’t doing anything as cool as a wheelie or a leap of faith. This is a motorcycle road racing event, and when bikers are pictured like this, they’re most likely heading into a crash.

Motorbike crashing is a pretty standard but perilous issue in competitive motorbike racing. As of 2019, up to 975 motorcyclists per 100K got injured. It’s for reasons like this and others that professional motorbike racers are advised to get proper insurance coverage (life, injury, income protection, etc.) because of the risky nature of their jobs.
