“You Won’t Win If You Don’t Smile Hard Enough!”
As you’ve probably gathered, the facial expression is almost as important as your performance during a cheerleading routine. No audience wants to see stoic or negative faces that look like they don’t enjoy what they’re doing. As a rule, cheerleaders are encouraged to always looks excited and optimistic during a performance.
These girls are following that rule rather zealously because, at this rate, they look like they’re about to start an uprising. Who knows, maybe that’s the theme of their performance. In any case, you can’t fault their willingness to impress. A for Effort!
Not A Referee, A King
The NBA has provided several amusing moments, and this one is right there among them. These three referees were diligently discussing their next move when this Budweiser ad decided to crown one of them a king. As you would expect, the camera stayed on them for a few minutes longer than usual, and the audience enjoyed it.
The chosen king looked like he had no idea what was going on, but he probably found out later because it seemed his face was headed in the direction of the jumbotron. The jumbotron is the large screen in basketball courts that displays replays and in-game footage.
A Flying Rodman
Any basketball fan would associate that blond dye with Dennis Rodman, and if you know Rodman, you probably are not too surprised at this frame. “The Worm,” as he was called, was known for doing the unusual, both on and off the court. That’s a flying Rodman trying hard to get his hands on the ball. Just another day in the business.
The former Detroit Pistons star won five NBA championships before he retired in 2006. He’s been so influential in the world of basketball that ESPN released a documentary about him in 2019. It was titled “Rodman: For Better or Worse.”
