A greedy cat

Simina was a big fan of ice cream, for one thing. The cat didn’t seem to mind the terrible stomachaches that the dairy-based dessert was likely to give most cats; she, along with a handful of other cats, seemed insatiable for it. However, this was not even her strangest obsession.

Apparently, Simina also had a fondness for Hematogen, a Russian confectionery for children. On the other side of the apartment, she could hear someone working on unwrapping a bar using her excellent hearing. Whenever anything like this happens, she will run for a bite as soon as it happens.
