Demanding an Explanation

For the longest time, Bridget racked her brain to try and come up with an explanation for Lisa’s abrupt departure. In her mind, Lisa had been so happy with her duties as a nanny up until now, so what had changed?

It took a little bit of convincing, but after asking several questions and demanding an explanation, Bridget finally managed to get an answer from Lisa. Although she did not elaborate, Lisa’s cryptic message left Bridget even more confused—her babysitter had quit because of her daughter Marie.
