Facing the Consequences

As Bridget scrambled to find a replacement for Meg, Marie couldn’t help but get frustrated over her predicament. Since her mother was busy with office work and interviews, often, there was no one to take her to her swimming lessons, get her ready in the morning, or be mindful of her diet and nourishment needs.

Since Meg’s departure, Marie’s world had basically turned upside down. Gone were the luxuries of leaving her dirty dishes in the sink and seeing them magically disappear, having her clothes ironed, and having everything ready for her like clockwork.
