Insult on Injury

Occasionally, one may wake up on the wrong side of the bed. There was more to that morning’s events other than health. The family automobile decided it would break down at that moment, adding insult to injury. They did not anticipate the car would act up, even if they had been able to plan around her health issue.

She tried her hardest to bring her son to school since taking the family vehicle wasn’t an option, but he showed up a few minutes late.
