The Seemingly Bad Sides of Detention
Even though many educators and parents support detention as a method of discipline, some disagree. Detention can affect kids; some take it to heart, while others do not care.
In the eyes of some, it sends the subliminal message that attending school is terrible by turning the extra time spent in class into a punishment. Also, some children love that they have nothing to do, and if they like the instructor in charge, they may even find it fun and enjoyable.
