After January 2021, Melania and Donald Trump are no longer the first couple of the United States. We may only recently have gotten to know them better, but their story goes back over two decades. According to Cosmopolitan, they met each other almost randomly, at a party in 1998. At that time, Trump was getting his second divorce, which was finalized in 1999. They briefly called things off while Trump ran for President in 2000. By 2001, they were back together, living in Trump’s penthouse. They tied the knot in 2005, and a year later, they had Barron.
