Supernatural Apparition

Then some think that this was not a person at all. Others feel that the mysterious figure was an apparition or a ghost. Those who believe in the supernatural insisted that this was a lost soul on earth that might be seeking justice. According to the BBC, spirit photography can be traced back to the 19th Century.

Around the 1850s, photographers began experimenting with the unique features of cameras, precisely double exposure and stereoscopic images. They thought they could earn from this, hence the spirit in pictures. The first one believed to have caught a ghost in a shot was William Mumler.
