Alex Ferguson and Cathy Ferguson – Married For 55 Years

Cathy Ferguson still remembers the first time she saw her husband, Alex Ferguson, and thought he was a gangster. Still, despite the first negative impression, the ex-Manchester United coach asked his then co-worker out on a date, to which she said no. Still, that wasn’t enough to stop Alex from asking for a chance with Cathy.

More than five decades later, the two are glad that they found each other, pointing out that their health challenges are the only worst thing they faced as a couple. Now that’s what marriage is about, not just the rosy parts that we often only talk about.
