Cyberbullying can take a toll on our mental health and result in severe consequences such as depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. There are some healthy ways to deal with online harassment, and the first step is to remain calm and never respond immediately.
Most online trolls are looking for a reaction, and it’s always best not to give in to the reflexive urge to insult them back. If it is absolutely necessary to respond, do so calmly, and don’t resort to name-calling. Then, always take a screenshot of the comments so that making a report of the incident to the appropriate authorities is possible.
