It is no secret that women are usually at the center of society’s expectations to be visually appealing and to cater to the male gaze. The pressure that young women, like the bride, are under to be perfect is immense. Young girls are constantly bombarded with airbrushed and manipulated images that mislead them about what real people look like.

According to some studies younger girls, teenagers, and pre-teens, who are frequent internet users are at risk for depression and anxiety due to constantly comparing themselves to celebrities and other girls online. Again, it is important to remember, in person, nobody is perfect.
