Iris was always there for Thomas, no matter how far apart they were. To show her how much he cared for her, he decided to do things his way. Thomas was staying in a motel room. When Iris gave him a heartfelt note, he was overcome with emotion. He was debating whether or not to leave his fulfilling career.
