That’s a Good Sine!
In an effort to make trigonometry a bit more engaging, this teacher came up with a creative way to help students remember their Sin, Cos, and Tan equations. Instead of the usual formulas, the board displayed a quirky equation: Sin b/Tan b = a picture of Bill Cosby, humorously representing “Cos B.”
The idea was clever, but it might have missed the mark since some students could be too young to recognize the famous comedian and actor. It’s clear the teacher was trying to lighten the mood and make math a little more memorable. We love teachers who go the extra mile to ensure that their students learn and retain what they’ve learned!
