A Rich History
Constructed by Ole and Marion Dahl during the ’30s, the Dahl Cabin in Garnet Ghost Town has stood the test of time. In addition to the cabin, the Dahls built a popular saloon, Dahl’s bar, and made several renovations to the cabin, including a kitchen and porch. They even installed a generator system to power their saloon across the street.
Although Ole passed away in 1966, Marion remained a fixture in Garnet, operating the saloon until the late ’60s to keep the history and legacy alive. The Dahl Cabin continues to be a testament to the resilience of the couple and the enduring allure of Garnet Ghost Town.
