Rhodesian Ridgeback

One of the most striking characteristics of a Rhodesian Ridgeback is the streak of reverse-growing hair on its back. This South African canine was initially used to chase lions in the savannah; hence its moniker, African Lion Hound. They only come in different shades of wheaten but they don’t constantly bark.

Rhodesian Ridgebacks make for a great family protector because they are intelligent and strong-willed.
