Bullmastiff
The Bullmastiff, a mix of Bulldog and Mastiff, was developed in England in the 1860s as a means to stop poachers from stealing. The parent breeds made the offspring equally fast and aggressive, perfect for catching thieves. However, unlike common guard dogs, this mighty pet doesn’t usually bite or bark.
According to the American Kennel Club, Bullmastiffs were created to track the suspects without mauling them because owners wanted to catch the culprit but not harm them! Despite its muscular physique, it doesn’t require too much exercise, so it is a fit for owners who prefer to stay at home. They do prefer cool weather.
