Perro de Presa Canario
Originally developed on the Canary Islands, off the African coast, the Perro de Presa Canario was initially bred for livestock protection. As seen in their appearance, the canine has its parents mastiff and bulldog’s physical features, including its stocky build and muscular physique.
If properly trained, the Perro de Presa Canario can be loyal and calm. It has a deep bark and, according to the AKC, has a balanced temperament. However, some people think that they are aggressive in nature so handlers must be experienced. In terms of grooming, these dogs have fast-growing nails that need to be constantly trimmed, especially when kept indoors.
