Belgian Malinois
You got that right; the Belgian Malinois came from Belgium, in the city of Malines. They are often mistaken for German Shepherd, but the latter is heavier and bigger than the former. They were originally developed to become herding dogs, but their role has long expanded. They can be called the soldiers of the canine kingdom because they work with police officers today.
They are extremely protective and alert, so it wasn’t surprising when actress Eva Mendes got one when she had a stalker scare in 2011. Belgian Malinois is certainly not for kids because they have obtained a reputation for their unpredictable temperament.
