Basenji
There’s a debate whether the Basenji makes for a good family pet. Come to think of it, the dog does possess a lot of traits that make it unique. Not only does it have a distinctive curly tail, it also has a slender snout. It is believed that this breed inspired the Egyptian god Anubis, which has the body of a human and the head of a canine.
Another thing that makes the Basenji distinctive is its inability to bark due to its larynx. Instead, they growl or yodel, which is very odd for a dog. It’s also strange that they act like cats because they groom themselves.
