Fila Brasileiro
Bred in Brazil, the Fila Brasileiro is also called the Brazilian Mastiff and is a working canine. They are mostly used in hunting because of their agility and top-notch ability to track prey. Unfortunately, the breed doesn’t do well with most pets and sometimes even kids, too, so caution must be practiced.
It is listed on the Dangerous Dogs Act due to its unpredictable temperament, especially when it comes to strangers. Fila Brasileiros are extremely protective of their masters, so much so that experts advise never leaving them with visitors. Luckily, this can be changed if they are trained during their developmental years.
