NOTABLE PROGRESS
Lilo’s progress was clear for everyone to see. On the day she was rescued, she weighed in at 22 pounds. In addition, she was notably unhealthy. Officers reported seeing scabs on her skin and sores on her tail.
But her skin had improved in the short time she’d spent in her new home. And she was no longer malnourished and underweight. A few days after joining Lynch and Henley, she was examined by Dr. John Wehe, who reported she weighted 26.5 pounds.
