No one knew what fate would befall Lilo. And it seemed she didn’t get much attention from officers at the Guilford Animal Control. Because ten days after she was in their care, they still referred to her as a ‘he.’
Luckily, her move to the Merit Pit Bull Foundation came with some change. For starters, the organization published Lilo’s story in a local newspaper. And once they brought more awareness to her plight via social media, her story garnered much-needed attention.
