Here we have another Leonardo DiCaprio blockbuster, but this time, he and not the director said an iconic line that was not from the script. The line ”sell me this pen” caught other cast members off guard, but because Martin Scorsese is known for allowing improvised dialogues, we’re not surprised that this made the final cut.

Apparently, DiCaprio got this idea from his security detail, who revealed to him that he had an interview with the real Jon Bernthal. The guard shared that his potential boss did ask him to sell him a pen, and the actor found this so brilliant that he used it.
