Midnight Cowboy
John Schlesinger’s 1969 movie “Midnight Cowboy” may have become legendary, but the team suffered a lot of issues, mainly because it was low budget. Plus, it could have ended in disaster because one of its stars, Dustin Hoffman, almost got hit by a vehicle, which wasn’t in the script at all!
Hoffman managed to stay in character after letting out, “I’m walkin’ here!” When the director went up to him, asking what was up, Schlesinger decided to add this to the movie. Because they had a small budget, they couldn’t hire a lot of extras, including during this scene of improvisation.
