Before other movie genres, Matthew McConaughey was firmly tied to romance-comedy. He struggled to shed this image when he wanted to explore different facets of his talent, and we can’t blame fans; he was great at playing the leading man. We can see this in the 2003 hit “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,” where he was paired with Kate Hudson.
In the same way, Hudson was brilliant in playing her part. Mainly because she was able to improvise the iconic dialogue “You can’t watch Meg Ryan for two hours not thinking about another girl,” which was upon the request of the director Donald Petrie.
