Goodfellas
If you have ever seen the 1990 crime drama “Goodfellas,” you are probably familiar with many quotable dialogues from the movie. But we bet you didn’t realize that one of the lines was inspired by a cast member’s experience.
According to Insider, once Joe Pesci worked as a waiter and encountered a mobster, whom he called funny. However, the guy wasn’t amused and didn’t receive the praise well – hence the birth of “Funny how?” which further displayed Tommy DeVito’s unpredictability. Director Martin Scorsese liked the anecdote so much that he insisted on adding this to the conversations in the movie.
