World number one tennis player Novak Djokovic took it in the neck when he was diagnosed with COVID -19. Why were people so cruel about a sporting great contracting a deadly virus? Because he contracted it at a tennis tournament that he hosted during the pandemic.

He claimed that the tournament would follow safety protocols, but images and videos showed participants hugging and shaking hands, disregarding social distancing protocols. Initially, Grigor Dimitrov, and Borna Coric, who participated in the tournament, tested positive. Djokovic did the same afterward. The tennis star issued an apology and, strangely, according to his press office, he tested negative one week after his initial positive test.
