Brian Allen – Age 25

There have been a host of NFL players who’ve tested positive for COVID-19. But it wasn’t until Brian Allen, center for the Los Angeles Rams, announced his diagnosis publicly that the rest of the players followed suit. Allen became the first known NFL player to test positive for the virus, and he describes his symptoms quite vividly.

He speaks about a loss of smell so severe that not even smelling salts could be effective, and a loss of taste so unsettling the only thing he could get from his mouth was the texture of his food. Allen also had a sore throat, headache, and fatigue.
