Nick Watney – Age 39
In some countries, golf is one of the few sports that has been deemed safe to play during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is due to it meeting social distancing protocol since players are not in physical contact and can maintain distance easily. So it was a bit of a shock when golfer Nick Watney became the first PGA golfer to test positive.
Watney actually tested negative a few days before. But after noticing that his Whoop Band was picking up elevated breathing patterns, he decided to test again, which confirmed his suspicions. The test result meant he had to pull out o the RBC Heritage tournament.
